The book employed the “repetition”, a common narrative form of picture books, to state a philosophical theme. The dandelions, fish, birds, and deer will inspire the child to ask his or her mother: “where am I from?” There is an old woman living in our body, who carves the marks for us from generation to generation. Every life is the result of the evolution of tens of millions of years. Every individual has genes dated back to tens of millions of years ago; the continuous reproduction breeds in an endlesssuccession. The author conveyed the meaning of life to us in a poetic way by using different paper collage to present various beautiful and broad pictures of life.
