由中央美术学院主办,中央美术学院美术馆和中国画学院承办的“铁壁天风——张凭艺术回顾展”将于3月28日在中央美术学院美术馆2A展厅隆重开幕。展览围绕张凭先生长达半个世纪的创作生涯展开,梳理作品创作的时代脉络,精选艺术家不同时期的经典作品60余件向观众呈现。 在这里,中央美术学院首先要对张凭先生的家属表示诚挚的感谢。先生自1956年进入中央美术学院学习,到后来留校任教,扎根美院,直至离休,也不忘关注美院的教学与发展。遵从张凭先生生前的遗愿,夫人吴瑛洲女士向中央美术学院捐赠8件作品,作为中央美术学院美术馆的永久收藏。其中包括了先生晚年创作的经典作品《砥柱》、《欲曙》等,这批捐赠不但丰富了美术馆馆藏,也为日后学界开展更深层次有关张凭先生的学术研究提供了便利条件。 张凭先生1934年生于河南新乡,1956年考入中央美术学院中国画系学习,师从李可染、叶浅予、蒋兆和、李苦禅等老一辈国画大家。1961年毕业后,以优异的成绩留在山水画科任教。自此在教坛耕耘数十载,培育出芬芳桃李。1960年代,李可染先生为张凭画了一幅小画《犟牛》,以“牛性温顺,时亦强犟”来勉励他“要有点犟劲”在艺术的道路上勇辟新境。遵循恩师的教诲,张凭先生在艺术这条寂寞之道上,以牛般倔犟的性子,开辟出自己的领地。 1961年,即将毕业的张凭以家乡为题材创作了一套组画《山河咏》,这套作品在故宫午门一经展出就引起了著名画家、评论家潘絜兹的注意,并撰文称赞:“这组题为《山河咏》的小画,如同一首首绝句,以精炼的艺术语言咏赞了北国多娇江山,蕴含着作者对乡土和生活的热爱,是新时代的田园诗”。这组小画让年轻的画家在画坛初露锋芒,同年这套作品被中央美术学院收藏。年轻的画家不仅将热情洒向养育自己的故土,同时还大胆创作了一些具有时代性的作品,中国美术馆收藏的《苍山如海  残阳如血》、《忽报人间曾伏虎》两件作品,艺术家以毛泽东词意为题材创作历史画。在《忽报人间曾伏虎》中,烟霞满天,红旗如潮,涌向烟云变幻中时隐时现的人民英雄纪念碑。动与静的对比、真实与虚幻的照应,创造了一个英雄史诗的意境,而色、墨与胶、矾的成功运用,也为中国画创作增添了几多绚丽。 1976年文革结束后,为弥补十年浩劫造成的创作空白,张凭先生远赴太行、湖南、桂林、黄山等地采风,将饱满的热情投向现实生活,绘下社会变迁,创作了大量具有时代印记山水作品。 70年代国家掀起了工业化化建设的热潮,如何将红旗渠、人造天河、龙羊峡水电站等现代工业景观与传统的笔墨语言相融合,在创作中和谐统一的呈现出来,是艺术家需要处理的时代课题。观看展厅展出的《红旗渠·太行银河》、《巫溪水文站》、《涟水飞渡人造天河》等作品,观众将体会到艺术家是如何独具匠心的将现代工业与传统笔墨完美融合在一起,留下记录时代变迁的影像。 进入20世纪80年代,艺术家一方面在创作题材上继续深化,1982年赴壶口写生,创作了具有民族精神气质的巨幅画作《黄河》。之后又在《黄河》的基础上进一步深化,创作了姊妹篇《摇篮》。艺术家由写实走向抽象,通过对同一主题的反复摸索,以求更精准的把握物象背后的时代脉搏。另一方面艺术家在创作技法上也进行了全面的革新,通过《晨霜》、《龙羊峡之夜》、《千秋》、《雪夜》、《冬趣图》等作品,艺术家进一步探索色、墨与胶、明矾相结合的可能,通过技法的革新来实现创作面貌的革新。 基于早年及80年代的积累,艺术家90年代的创作出现了质的飞跃。《磐石》、《砥柱》、《屹立》、《欲曙》、《海》等作品虽都取材于自然景观,但艺术家通过象征、隐喻等手法使作品的立意从现实物象中超脱出来,传递出更深的意蕴,赋予作品以“源自生活,而又高于生活”的魅力。 1992年获得全国美展金奖的《屹立》,是艺术家的巅峰之作。作者最初受亚运会会歌“山是高昂的山”的启发,在一稿时选择以珠峰为模本,在四易其稿之后,作者抛开珠峰这一具体形象的束缚,转而创作一座大山,并吸收雪山画法中强烈的黑白对立,以突出光的感觉,巨大、突兀、雄浑的山石迎面扑向观众,使观者感受到质若铁壁、气若天风的深沉而又空灵的境界。 90年代的创作是艺术家饱偿艺术追求中的苍茫,寂寞之后,方才呈现的严谨、饱满、凝重、气势博大雄浑的艺术境界。“我要通过艺术来立身立本,来传达我的感情。别的东西都立不了身,传达不了我的思想。”一段简单朴素的话道出了张凭先生毕生追求艺术的志向。 本次展览将持续展出至2016年5月3日。 主办: 中央美术学院    承办: 中央美术学院美术馆  中央美术学院中国画学院 展览地点:中央美术学院美术馆2A展厅 展览时间:2016年3月28日——5月3日 开幕式暨捐赠仪式:2016年3月28日10:00,中央美术学院美术馆一层大厅 研讨会:2016年3月28日 11:00——16:30,中央美术学院美术馆贵宾厅 学术主持:范迪安  陈平 展览策划:王璜生 展览统筹:唐 斌  姚鸣京 展览执行:刘 荣 李垚辰 华佳 华田子 宿世存   藏品管理:姜 楠 华 佳 窦天炜 展览资料整理:李卫东、周方涵    视觉设计:柳静 傅笑然

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.

CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer

Article I

This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.

Article II

Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.

Article III

Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.

Article IV

Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.

Article V

During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
