  Stepping Manufacturing

From primitive manufacturing labor to today's manufacturing industry, manufacturing connects human behavior and the material accumulation of civilization. Facing today's world full of wicked problems, how manufacturing and constructing the material environment has become a key path for research and problem-solving.

The section of "Stepping Manufacturing" explores the key information and potential trends from current manufacturing to future manufacturing, and seeks the collaborative advancement mode of design, engineering and other related industries. On the one hand, it explores what manufacturing is from the basic material research and development, manufacturing process, technical principles, and composition methods; on the other hand, it focuses on the ethics, values, and material flow and energy flow on a more macro scale.

In the step-by-step development of synergy, design not only performs the mission of embodying manufacturing technology, but also constantly examines manufacturing models and manufacturing philosophies as a critical force, and will face and try to solve the problem of "how to efficiently manufacture " to "how to properly manufacture" series of questions.

  From Cure to Prevention

Not only is it affected by the epidemic, but the concept of general health has emerged under the changes of social needs and disease spectrum. Health is no longer considered a single biomedical issue, but a comprehensive health factor that covers many aspects such as psychology, physiology, society and environment.

The "From Cure to Prevention" section is a response to this trend: from a single model design for disease medical treatment, it gradually shifts to a comprehensive system design of general health prevention. The health system involves a long time span from disease prevention, treatment to recovery; and a wide range of radiation, including production, life, and consumption connected with health. Correspondingly, health design has also shifted from medical product design to health-related information system design, auxiliary tool design, service design, crisis emergency design and even organizational model design, and attempts to gain insight into the potential of future health development from a design perspective.

  Environmental Coexistence

The "Environmental Coexistence" section focuses on the symbiotic coexistence trend of the relationship between human beings and the environment. The broad sense of "environment" not only refers to the natural biological environment, from tiny DNA, bacteria, phages to the survival, growth patterns, and ecological circles of animals and plants; it also involves non-biological environments including energy, minerals, geological movements, and ocean currents. At the same time, what cannot be ignored is the "Anthropocene" environment formed by the reconstruction of the order of natural space by technology and culture.

Facing the challenge of an increasingly complex global system and a huge crisis, the drawbacks of anthropocentrism are gradually revealed. This not only implies that we need to pay attention to "inhuman rights" and stop the exploitation and plunder of the environment; a step further is that we need to unite people and the environment to obtain greater resilience against disasters, through bionics, biological systems, Technology and design methods such as transfer learning rebuild the connection between people and the environment, and conceive the paradigm and rules of the "coexistence era".

  Ubiquitous Education

In the changing times, the education model is also gradually developing. Rapidly iterative knowledge and skills, and the demand for interdisciplinary talents all indicate the demand for a more ubiquitous education model.

"Ubiquitous Education" will explore the trend that education is everywhere. In this context, education gradually hides its fringe contours, not only as a serious action, but also returns to everyday life. The forms and scenes are not limited to textbooks or scenes, and the educational objects are not limited to minors. As a composite practice, games and activities can be entertaining and entertaining in an immersive and experiential way; interactive design props expand the perspective of understanding; the network promotes the ways and means of acquiring and understanding knowledge. Ubiquitous education and learning have become a new daily routine in social behavior.

 Space Daily

From space seeds to space station travel, space activities not only serve as organized exploratory activities, but also begin to enter daily life, production, education, and consumption. "Space Routinization" focuses on the long-term future five years later, trying to conceive social trends and changes in behavior patterns under the background of routine space activities.

The new physical normality of space will bring many opportunities and challenges to the design—gravity, acceleration, propagation medium, and radiation intensity different from the surface; daily activities mainly based on flight and suspension; ultra-long-distance information transmission, interactive control objects; and Guaranteed supply of survival resources in extreme environments. Standing in 2023, we might as well observe and explore this future from the perspective of strategic design, and imagine a potential design possibility in everyday space.

  Cultural Environment Rebuilt

The establishment of new technologies and connections is constantly impacting the structural models of traditional social and cultural spaces. The new space under construction not only connects historical and future information, spatial and regional information, but also nourishes the prosperity of emerging culture.

The "Cultural Environment Rebuilt" section focuses on the structural transformation of cultural space, trying to gain insight into the paradigm innovation and transformation of creating connections. Traditional, historical, emotional and emerging, modern, technical signs meet here. There is both an appeal to the broadest public and a gaze back to the individual. With the accumulation of material production, the social and cultural space grows together. Map-style, tool-style, and media-style, shuttle among them, it is not difficult to detect the undercurrent of change is surging forward in all directions.

  Artificial Intelligence Collaboration

Artificial intelligence collaboration refers to the use of computer algorithms and machine learning technology to allow different artificial intelligence systems to cooperate with each other and with human to complete a task together. In artificial intelligence collaboration, various systems can transfer information to each other, share knowledge, and perform self-learning and optimization, thereby improving the performance and efficiency of the entire will explore key information and potential trends from today's artificial intelligence to future artificial intelligence, and look for models of artificial intelligence and human beings working together in various fields. On the one hand, it explores what artificial intelligence collaboration is from the aspects of basic algorithms, data processing, model optimization, and hardware equipment; on the other hand, it focuses on the ethical, legal, social and cultural values it reflects, and its impact on human society.

Future artificial intelligence collaboration needs to consider not only the benefits and benefits of technology, but also the balance and sustainability between humans and the natural environment. Artificial intelligence collaboration needs to find a new balance between technological innovation and social interests in order to achieve the sustainability of artificial intelligence collaboration and the harmonious development of human society.

  Digital Parallel World

The digital parallel world refers to a virtual world that is independent of the real world and exists simultaneously. The world is constructed and operated by computer and network technology, and is composed of digital information, and various activities and interactions can be carried out in the digital space. The digital parallel world is interconnected and influenced by the real world. Today, the virtual economy and virtual property in the digital parallel world have become a new economic system, and the social relations and activities in the digital parallel world have also had an impact on the social interaction and cultural value of the real society.

In the future, the development of the digital parallel world will become more popular and diversified. The digital parallel world will become an important part of people's life and work, but it will also face more challenges and risks, such as data security and privacy protection issues, and may also Moral and ethical issues can arise. The future development of the digital parallel world needs to find a balance between technological innovation and social interests in order to achieve the sustainability of the digital parallel world and the harmonious development of human society.
