正值阳春三月,春风和煦,柳色再现,由中央美术学院主办的 “百年辉煌•中央美术学院艺术名家”系列活动、“创新先驱之路——罗工柳百年诞辰纪念展”今天隆重开幕,这一大型学术展览全面呈现了艺术大师罗工柳先生的艺术历程、艺术与教育成就,将这棵长青的艺术之柳移植于当代,让柳色渲染这个春天的色彩。
今年是罗工柳先生诞辰100周年,中央美术学院也即将迎来建校100周年,展览定于校庆日(4月1日)前夕开幕,也体现了罗工柳先生等先辈大师的学术、艺术历程与中央美术学院发展历史一脉相承的紧密联系。中央美术学院已走过近一个世纪的办学历程,学校高度重视百年优秀学术传统的研究与梳理,学校党委制定了“百年辉煌•中央美术学院艺术名家”的学术研究规划,成立了专门工作机构,陆续举办了董希文先生诞辰100周年、徐悲鸿先生诞辰120周年、王逊先生诞辰100周年等重要纪念活动及展览学术研讨会,隆重纪念在中央美术学院百年发展历程中做出杰出贡献的艺术名家与美术教育名师,传承弘扬先辈的艺术精神和光荣传统,推动学校教学、创作与科研在新形势下的创新发展。
今天的中央美术学院美术馆报告厅内济济一堂,来自全国美术界的朋友与中央美术学院老艺术家、中青年教师、学生聚集在一起,共同缅怀艺术大师,分享艺术先贤留给我们的艺术光辉。“创新先驱之路——罗工柳百年诞辰纪念展” 开幕式在这里隆重举行。
罗工柳先生的夫人、97岁高龄的杨筠先生坐着轮椅来了;年逾九旬的老教授林岗先生坐着轮椅,由夫人庞涛先生推扶着赶来了;86岁高龄的老教授侯一民、邓澍夫妇赶来了……闻悉中央美术学院举办罗工柳先生诞辰100周年纪念展开幕的消息,当年与罗先生共商艺术、或亲受教诲的同仁、弟子、亲友纷纷赶来了,钟涵、盛杨、丁士中、邵大箴、杜键、高潮、闻立鹏、马常利、李化吉、靳之林、李天祥、赵友萍、杨先让、孙为民、叶毓中、蒋采苹、李树声、王宏建、张立辰等一批耄耋之年的老艺术家、老教授、老领导纷纷来到开幕式现场,共同追念这位在中国美术史、美术教育史上做出重要贡献的艺术大师。
中国美术家协会名誉主席、原中央美术学院院长靳尚谊,中国美术学院教授全山石,中国文联党组成员、副主席、书记处书记左中一,中国国家博物馆馆长吕章申,中国美术家协会副主席、中国美术学院院长许江,中宣部文艺局副巡视员李小虹,文化部艺术司文学美术处处长刘冬妍,中国文联美术艺术中心副主任梅启林,北京鲁迅博物馆馆长郭俊英女士,华茂集团股份有限公司董事局主席徐万茂,华茂美术馆馆长徐良雄,浙江华茂艺术教育博物馆艺术总监陈琦,罗工柳先生之子罗安,学院领导班子成员,以及美院师生出席了开幕式。我院党委书记高洪主持了开幕仪式。
此次展览策展人、中央美术学院院长范迪安在开幕式上首先讲话。他指出,回首20世纪中国美术走过的历程,罗工柳先生堪称一座艺术的高峰,他的艺术人生与时代的发展紧密相连,他的艺术思想与人民的思想情感紧密相连,他在艺术创作和美术教育上所做出的贡献影响深远,举办他的百年诞辰纪念展,不仅有着重要的学术研究意义,更有着对于我们今天美术创作和美术教育的现实启发意义。
“罗工柳先生是一位作出卓越贡献的艺术大家,也是一位美术教育的名师。他在不同时期创作的作品,展现出反映革命文艺理想、彰显时代精神的亮丽光采,成为中国美术主流在历史中前行的标志;他在美术教育特别是油画教学上承前启后、开拓创新的思想,积累了培养艺术人才的重要经验。”院长范迪安在致辞中深情回忆了罗工柳先生的艺术历程,从充满忧患的少年时代立下艺术救国的志向,到抗日战争烽火岁月中奔赴延安投身抗战宣传;从新中国解放热情投身国家艺术事业,创作了《地道战》和《毛泽东在延安作整风报告》等中国革命历史画,到在苏联研修期间,不断思考中国油画的发展之路;从20世纪五六十年代集中探索主题性美术创作的形式创新,同时将中国传统艺术的美学意趣融入油画的表现语言,到臻至晚年仍笔耕不辍,探索开拓新的艺术境界。在20世纪中国美术的发展进程中,罗工柳先生始终坚守为人民服务的艺术方向,在艺术创作、艺术教育的道路上孜孜以求,锐意创新,不断进取,在油画、版画、书法及综合艺术等领域留下了丰硕成果。他的作品油画《地道战》、《毛泽东在延安作整风报告》、《前仆后继》、《毛主席在井冈山》以及版画《马本斋的母亲》、《李有才板话》等成为美术史上的经典,培养了一大批杰出的艺术人才。
对于这样一位在艺术创作与美术教育上树立了高峰、产生了深远影响的前辈,范迪安表示,在敬仰之时,我们还需要对他的艺术人生和学术业绩作更深入的研究,从中体认中国美术在曲折中前进的宝贵价值,他的艺术观念和美术教育思想对于今天繁荣社会主义文艺创作、培养新型艺术人才更是富有重要的启示。他强调,纪念罗工柳先生,要学习和弘扬他毕生坚持为人民服务的艺术精神。要学习和弘扬罗工柳先生在艺术上勇于开拓,不断创新的学术理想。要学习和弘扬罗工柳先生在美术教育上的高度品德。“他不同时期的创造特质都嵌印在中国美术的发展史册,散发出永久的光辉,激励我们传承接力、继往开来”。
中央美术学院老院长靳尚谊先生在开幕式上致辞。他回忆起了与罗先生一起到井冈山,收集《前仆后继》和《毛主席在井冈山》两幅作品素材的经历,“从这两张画,我感觉到罗先生是一个很有才能的艺术家,在创作上不仅很好地表现革命的历史和内容,而且艺术上不断地在探索和创新,又和中国文化相结合。”他指出,罗先生的一生是不断探索、创新的一生,对中国的艺术发展,特别是油画发展做出了极其重要的贡献。此次回顾展在罗先生百年诞辰之际举办,对后人以及年轻的学子很有启迪意义。
中国美术学院教授全山石先生在开幕式上饱含深情地追忆亦师亦友的罗工柳先生,“我是罗先生的学生,也是同学,也是助手,更是好朋友,罗先生对我的帮助很大,他是我们这代人的楷模,影响了许多人,更影响了我。”他说,罗先生影响了一代人,首先是他的人生观和艺术观,他给当时的年轻人指出一条非常正确的道路,指明了做人和做艺术家的方向;二是罗先生的思维方式,他非常善于思考,善于分析问题,有很高的政治素养和艺术修养;三是他创新的精神和改革的心态,他总是不满于现状,胆子很大,敢于尝试,他那种创新的精神,不仅体现在他的创作,也体现在他的教学上。
协办单位代表、中国美术学院院长许江在开幕式上致辞。谈到罗先生他倍感亲切,“罗先生的油画是我们这代人在荒原上探索时,汲取到最早艺术的甘露。”他指出,罗先生从留苏时期的作品就具有对神的把握和笔性,到了晚年,这种对笔性的专注,这种东方诗性的敏锐,贯穿了罗先生整个艺术生涯,塑造了一个艺术巨匠的语言品位,影响着今天的艺坛,对西方的优长伸延之,以东方的精神改造之,罗先生的创新之路,为我们塑造了杰出的榜样。许江在致辞中也提出希望这个展览能够到杭州巡展。
罗工柳先生家属代表罗安在开幕式上表达了对中央美术学院及为展览付出努力的各界人士的感激之情。他说在整理父亲留下的大量画稿、日记、手稿,创作构思和创作计划时,被深深震撼了,“父亲的一生是对艺术不断探索,不断追求的一生,他从来没有满足于已经取得的成就,他总是说他可以画得更好,总是在求新,在求变。”他说,父亲晚年尽管身患癌症,但并没被病魔击倒,他对待病魔的乐观精神和毅力、他对艺术的执着令人折服。他在海岛静修了几个月之后,竟奇迹般地康复了,期间他还创造了特制的竹壳笔,同时开创了他书法的新天地。

经过精心筹备,展览以近300件作品和大量文献资料的规模首次全面呈现罗工柳先生“一生为人民”的艺术历程、突出反映其探索中国油画发展之路的创新精神。展览包括“在战斗的前线”、“为新中国而创作”、“留学研究在苏联”、“中国油画要走自己的路”、“柳色长青”五个部分,展线的一首一尾安放着罗工柳于20岁意气风发的青年时期创作的木刻作品《鲁迅像》,以及88岁仍壮心不已的耄耋之年挥洒的《郁郁葱葱》,随着时间的脉络展现艺术家在不同的人生阶段、多样的艺术形式中取得的成就。
本次展览汇集了中国国家博物馆、中国美术馆等单位收藏的罗工柳代表作品,《地道战》、《毛泽东在延安作整风报告》、《毛主席在井冈山》、《马本斋的母亲》、《李有才板话》等经典代表作也悉数亮相。同时,还展出了家属珍藏的罗工柳各个历史阶段的精彩作品,包含大量首次展出的创作草图,如革命历史画《地道战》等作品的创作草图,以及留学苏联时期至晚年作品的构思稿、色彩稿,使展览呈现出浓厚的学术氛围。
此次展览得到了文化部、中国文联的大力支持,中国国家博物馆、中国美术馆、中国美术家协会、中国美术学院、浙江华茂艺术教育博物馆、北京鲁迅博物馆共同参与协办,展览更得到了罗工柳先生亲属的全力配合。
开幕式当天下午,油画系主持举办了老中青艺术家及学生参加的“创新先驱之路——罗工柳百年诞辰纪念展”教学与学术研讨会。

If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
