6月14日，结束了前一天在广州关于“活性的公共空间”的对话后，CAFAM双年展的行动小组立即马不停蹄地赶往行程的第二站，重庆。当日下午6点半，“过程即艺术”的主题对话会在四川美术学院举行。四川美术学院教授王林、中央美术学院美术馆学术部主任王春辰、四川美术学院雕塑系主任焦兴涛、第三届CAFAM双年展协调员高高为本场对话嘉宾，四川美术学院美术史系副主任何桂彦担任主持。这是一场从多个维度打开的对话，几位嘉宾从各自不同的身份出发，围绕“艺术即过程”这一话题展开讨论。
中央美术学院美术馆学术部主任王春辰
当“过程”成为艺术，对艺术的收藏、展示、批评等是否将受到环环相扣的一系列影响？主持人何桂彦首先向对谈者抛出这样一个问题。王春辰主任提出“过程即艺术”作为一个时代命题具有迫切的认同上的必要性。他指出，艺术已经不再是为了视觉愉悦而创造的事物，需要从“过程”上对艺术进行重新判定。而“过程”作为艺术在价值上得以实现的前提，则是我们在观念上对其产生的意识及认同。本届CAFAM双年展，鼓励公众通过“过程”去实现以前不敢想的事情，而面对这件事情的最终结果，“艺术”一词又可以放得“很远”，甚至可以不被称为“艺术”，“过程”作为形态将被摆在第一位。
四川美术学院教授王林
关于艺术发展过程中批评话语所发生的改变，王林教授指出，艺术形态的变化、各个社会圈层不同的文化诉求、评价意识的变化以及美学观念的变化等综合影响了批评范式和批评话语的改变，艺术的开放性也因此显现。其中，他明确提出，当“过程”参与到艺术的评价标准中去，我们需要警惕那种“被自我”的现象：在解释艺术发生的“过程”时，很容易把“我”和物、人和天抽象化，因此落入古代文人的情感中去。在对“过程”的认识和评判中，最应该警惕的就是自我，而非其它。
四川美术学院美术史系副主任何桂彦
“我们做雕塑、绘画都有一个过程，这是一个物理过程，和我们今天讨论的‘过程’其实并不是一个东西。”对此，何桂彦强调“过程即艺术”这句话所指向的观念上的转变。同时，他认为，将这句话放在西方艺术史的语境里，“过程即艺术”便拥有了具体的历史情境，这和艺术家的创作是息息相关的，不仅体现在抽象表现主义，更体现在60年代的观念影像、雕塑和极少主义上。
四川美术学院雕塑系主任焦兴涛
由于身份的不同，艺术家与批评家、策展人在解读同一问题时往往表现出较大的差异性，艺术家也成为后者全面观察艺术发生、确立工作方式的重要依据。艺术家焦兴涛通过讲述一个具体的创作活动来说明“过程”相较于作品在某些情境下的艺术价值。而在对“过程”的认同上，他尤其强调“偶然性”为艺术创作带来的不可预知的面貌。可以看出，他将日常生活纳入对“过程”的理解中，并称“艺术只是赋予它一个形态。”
第三届CAFAM双年展协调员高高
在策展人、批评家、艺术家分别对“过程即艺术”所引起的相关体系的变化提出看法之后，“第三届CAFAM双年展”的协调员高高也从“美术馆展陈方式”的变化上作以回应。以本届双年展正是要强调“过程性”为例，一方面是呈现艺术发生的过程，展览在形式上以“过程”来实现则是另一方面，对此，本届双年展希望围绕话题和方案所产生的对话与思想激活能成为对“过程”的最好呈现。
这场主题对话的一个特殊性，恰恰缘于对话嘉宾之间不同的身份和由此产生的某些观点和出发点上的不一致性。随后，嘉宾之间在“‘过程即艺术’背后隐含的对既有艺术范式的质疑”、“当艺术的边界不断解构，艺术是否还存在？”、“怎样让知识话语在作品中呈现”、“艺术家是否具有艺术史智慧对其创作面貌的影响”等问题之间展开不同看法的交流。
现场提问
在对话主题的激发下，现场来自四川美术学院的师生提出了“艺术越来越以观念性为主导时的社会用途”、“ ‘过程’成为艺术是否存在对原始巫术的回溯”等发散性的问题，行动组也对大家所关心的“双年展在方案协商环节是否存在标准”、“公众可以通过哪些具体方式来实现多方面的参与”等有关展览操作方式做出详细回答。
在不同主题的带动下 ，“第三届CAFAM双年展跨地域对话会”在形程安排内实现了对跨地域、跨文化语境的思想碰撞的期待。从广州到重庆，两地的对话语境已经显现出同自然环境一样的差异性。这使得本届双年展在前期征集、交流的“过程”呈现出其充分与丰富性。
行动组仍在路上，对话还在继续。下一站，相约武汉。

CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.
CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer
Article I
This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.
Article II
Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.
Article III
Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.
Article IV
Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.
Article V
During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
