2013年4月3日下午15:30,由中央美术学院造型学院基础部和中央美术美术馆共同举办的“认识美院系列讲座”第一讲在中央美院美术馆学术报告厅举办。此次请来中央美院油画系李天祥老先生为大家带来一场关于艺术学习的讲座。
本次讲座由高天雄教授担任主持人。高老师首先感谢年龄已85岁的李天祥教授的到场,他提到今年正巧是建校95周年,学校一方面进行校史整理,另一方面举办此系列讲座,希望借此让大家对美院有新的、更全面的认识。他指出培养优秀艺术人才也是培养知识分子的一部分,中央美院希望把这些年积累的文化遗产全部交给学生,锻炼大家的艺术能力和自觉性。最后,他也介绍了李天祥老先生,作为1953年留学苏联的第一批中国艺术生,李教授先后任教于中央美院油画系第二、四工作室以及上海大学美术学院,为中国艺术教育作出了巨大贡献。
李教授起身演讲,并风趣地表示自己与大家的同学关系,希望这层关系能够帮助同学们更好的交流提高。关于为什么要以“条件色”作为此次讲座的主题,李教授着重讲了自己在苏联的留学经历。在他留学前,徐悲鸿先生就曾嘱咐过他要抓好色彩关,回来再教学。刚到苏联的李教授最初并未了解这番话的意义,直到后来与其他苏联同学一起作画时才发现中国油画与国际油画的差距,这一差距不在“形”上,而在“色”上。李教授引用俄国著名画家柯罗伦的名言“色彩就是关系”来说明自己是如何一步步认识到自身的不足的。当时,他除了问同学、老师外,还参加了老师组织的风景写生。这次经历让李教授的色彩得到极大提升,他发现要画好油画,必须要找到黑白灰关系,再在这三层中寻找冷暖关系,最后同类层次再进行色调比较。这种一边观察,一边比较的方法既提升了他的速度,又让作品生动起来。同时,他还注意到色彩拥有两种重要的特性:生动性和珍贵性(即我们平时说的高级性)。这些都让他在短短四年之间对色彩掌握程度更娴熟,并能够绘制出更好的油画作品。
李教授提到以往有很多同学认为这样对绘画方法进行总结,是否过于死板,把艺术当科学了?他否认了这一点,虽然艺术的道理是要符合科学规律的,但这并不意味着两者等同,这就是为何西方绘画能够创作出不朽作品的原因。相比起来,中国以及其他绘画种类更注重固有色的表达,因此使作品更主观也更好看,但恐怕丧失了真实性。当然,李教授认为这种观看方式不仅在中国艺术中有体现,在文学等方向也有表现,如《三国》中对刘关张三人脸色的描写分别为“冠玉”、“红枣”、“锅底”,非常简单。不同的是,诗人李白和白居易在诗句里引用的色彩则描绘出宏大的色调关系,让人浮想联翩。
接着,李教授直接就近分析了学术报告厅内部环境的色彩。他指出亮处与暗处的大关系,一语中的。他认为,没有油画中的条件色,就不会有优秀的作品诞生。一味想要找出所画对象的每块色彩是不可能的,因为除了光线,还要考虑到空气距离等因素,所以创作的时候一定要寻找条件色。他特别提到伦勃朗的一幅作品,这件作品是艺术家在《夜巡》官司失败后穷困潦倒之时的自画像,其中蜡烛光为作品增色不少。除此之外,李教授还提到作品是如何表达画家的精神世界的,画家表情亦笑亦哭,似乎已看透整个世界,这种情绪与中国八大山人绘画中表达的情绪相仿。李教授认为好的艺术不止是技术,更涉及到艺术家的道德、人生经历以及情感,当真理从文人作品中流露出时,会更有力量。
李教授接着拿出画册,讲解了自己绘制的几件作品,其中《永恒的怀念》是他最为印象深刻的一件。这件作品创作于文革结束后,此时他来到四川参观革命遗址,被烈士们的故事和精神深深感动,随后绘制了这件作品,虽然自己采用了油画的方式,但仍旧表现出中国人的精神世界。李教授一再表示中国油画与西方油画的差距,他非常钦佩像俄国这样的国家,在西方现代主义开始发展之际,仍旧有一部分人致力于研究传统油画表现手法。他希望除中国油画外,传统中国画也需要有一批人去继续钻研努力,早日将传统文化发扬光大。
在提问环节,有同学想了解老先生怎样认识油画中的素描。李教授首先肯定了素描的基础地位,他说在苏联留学时期,解剖课是人数最多的课之一,正是由于对解剖的熟悉,那里的学生才能在绘画之初就把整体形掌握好,因此素描是不可缺少的。另一位同学希望老先生给一些外出写生的建议,李教授提到三点,一是注意时间,要选早晚,这能够最好的训练他们对色彩关系的敏感度,二是选择西北、东北、正北三个方位,三是多画速写,抓大形和精神气度。
由于时间关系,李教授只能回答两个同学的问题。高老师在念了其余问题后,再次感谢李教授的到来,本次讲座在同学们的热烈掌声中结束。

During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer.
