前言

祝贺同学们毕业。                       

贺喜的理由是:通过三年来的相互交流,我能感知到你们在艺术道路和个人生活中都在成长。不久前,你们在网络上用“石头剪刀布”这个通俗的逻辑概述了两性关系中复杂又现实的人性,用一个古老的游戏暗示了当下社交的博弈模式,这是你们在生活中将历史概念转换为现实参照最好的案例。而传统文化的当代转换是伴随你们艺术生命的永久课题。

研究生论文写作仅是一个课题,它是考察你们对艺术史常识的了解与个案分析能力,其目的是以温故知新的方式培养能为当下艺术发展做贡献的人才。

历史是时代作为的记录,现实是时代作为的叠加,每一代人都肩负着借鉴与创造历史的责任。祝愿全体毕业生把你们人生的论文写在即将开始的毕业生活中,运用你们曾经在中央美术学院学习的历史,去创造新的,属于时代属于人民属于自己的历史。

生命像流动的河水,时而缓和、时而湍急。层叠交替着出现。这是一个关于来和去的故事。瓦尔特·本雅明认为,我们并没有意识到自己已然跨越着无数道门槛。生活也没有被我们理解为从一个层面到另一个层面,从过去到当下再到未来的一种过渡。门槛不是用来限制我们的边界,而是一种过渡。从这个角度看,它不是一成不变的,是流动的。对本雅明来说,叙事为经验的呈现提供了一种可能性。叙事者具备一种将个体经历转化成个人经验的能力。毕业展对毕业生来说是一个告别的仪式,学业到此告一段落,人生即将过渡到一个新的阶段。

作为即将离校的毕业生,在这个人生阶段里主观上对前面所说的过渡也许还缺乏明确的认识。即便如此,我们仍然能够看到跨越具象与抽象绘画之间界限的努力,试图在两者之间建立起一种自然的过渡。展览的结构体现了跨界的尝试。作为对绘画作品的补充,我们吸收了一些与主题契合的雕塑专业毕业生的作品,使二维和三维的媒介形成一种互补的关系。风格和创作动机各异的作品共同构建了一个综合的叙事,展览尝试着在众多个体之间建立起一座桥梁。

策展思路依照一种文学和哲学的语言,整个展览类似一部小说,逐步由各个章节建立起来,讲述了一个完整的、由始至终的人生。作品体现了人在各个时期对世界的观察和认识,兼具男性和女性的视角,涉及了诸如人的存在、对语言的掌握、个人表达的建立等话题。除此之外,也引出了如下的问题:对自身存在的疑问、我是谁,从哪里来,去向何方?展览为我们呈现了一条充满未知的、从一个过渡走向另一个过渡的人生道路。在这条路上,一个人选择成为艺术家,也就决定了日后要一直背负着对自己和世界的疑问。像萨特所说的,我们被抛入这个世界。他认识到我们不得不面对的问题:我的人生应该在哪里度过,城市亦或乡村?一个村里长大的孩子如何应对城市生活?方向的迷失、熟悉的世界分崩离析,如何找到那个“自己”?处在这个阶段的学生们选择了用艺术去表现自身所关注的话题。他们观察、思考着内部与外部的世界,精神与肉体,文化、宗教和性别上的身份认同,情感和意识的各种状态;思念、“春之觉醒”(弗兰克·韦德金德)爱情、婚礼以及组成家庭。在这些“未来的艺术家”们的作品里我们看到了他们如何用艺术语言表达现实、虚拟和幻想之间的跨越。我们也可以把这个展览看作一部涵盖了生活的复杂与多样、以及对人自身的存在发问的小说。与毕加索立体主义时期的作品如出一辙,在这里我们也可以看到由不同的视角所组成的一幅图像。

此次2023届油画系研究生毕业展共展出五个工作室,十三个研究方向,二十四位同学的绘画作品。展览打破了以往以工作室风格排序的方式,试图以更加开放的展览形式和展览线索来呈现同学们研究生学习期间的所思所感。

在关于绘画、关于生活、关于时代、关于生命这些永恒不变的命题中,同学们以他们敏锐的观察和独立的思考,通过作品正指向一种主动的自觉和自洽,并以个人表达的丰富面貌向过往,向当下,向未来发问。同时,油画系各研究方向的导师们以他们的真知灼见帮助和引导同学们逐步走向了属于他们自己的艺术之路,在教与学的充分互动后,结出了收获的果实。

感谢来自德国的独立策展人海茵茨·诺伯特·约克斯先生。在看过同学们的作品后,他感受强烈,并给予了充分肯定。随后,油画系有幸邀请诺伯特先生共同参与和策划了此次研究生毕业展。使展览在规定动作的基础上增添了更多的视角,也提出了更多讨论的可能。 在展览方案的策划过程中,我和诺伯特先生也对美术学院的教与学进行了热烈讨论。这让我回想起2013年曾去欧洲高等艺术院校考察的经历,美术学院该如何认定传统?如何面对当下?毕业展既是美术学院教学实践的检验,也是学生在校学习的总结,更是从起点到终点,从终点再到起点的新的开始,它应是有无限可能的一种开放形态,一种充满活力的生长关系。

Heinz-Norbert Jocks

海茵茨·诺伯特·约克斯

海因茨- 诺伯特·约克斯 ( Heinz-Norbert Jocks,b.1955) 出生于杜塞尔多夫,曾修习哲学、德语和历史,他是一位作家、策展人、记者,亦是“The Collective Eye”团体的发起人之一,该团体成立于2010年,旨在通过展览、研讨会和一系列谈话书籍促进“集体实践”的讨论。2018年,他与Dominque Garaudel 、 Luis Nuo 和Zandie Brockett一同与德国歌德学院与法国文化中心合作,在中央美术学院美术馆举办了关于“文化差异下的群体主体性及其美学”的国际学术研讨会,其中来自来自中国、欧洲、南北美洲的哲学家、策展人均参加了此次会议。

他曾于多个艺术学院任教,包括杜塞尔多夫国立艺术学院、天津美术学院和中央美术学院。在2018年,海因茨诺伯特·约克斯在杜塞尔多夫的两家博物馆同时策划了刘小东的首次回顾展,同年于Setareh 画廊举办了艺术家杨继昌的个展项目,并在2019年策划了艺术家童昆鸟于德国的的首次展览。

刘商英

中央美术学院教授,硕士、博士生导师,油画系副主任。2011年至今多次深入西藏阿里、内蒙古额济纳旗、新疆罗布泊、阿尔金山、天山等地进行野外现场绘画项目,持续以创作发生地为单元,注重绘画与身体行为的密切关系。并连续将现场绘画放置在真实自然中形成在场性对话,探讨绘画与自然的关系,从而试图进入由绘画行为创造的“第二自然”。

作品阐释:

我的研究点是新达达主义绘画范畴,其中新达达主义绘画的核心传达了艺术既是生活的观念,在画面中使用现成品并且将现成品直接作为绘画作品。我的作品《棋 盘》便是将带有个人回忆的现成棋盘作为我的艺术表达对象与媒介,通过对现成品棋盘外形和内在结构的绘画语言加工,探讨现成品的视觉媒介在抽象绘画中的实践问题。

《我的家乡没有霓虹灯》         220×180cm/220×80cm         布面油画

作品阐释:

作品描绘的是家乡广东汕头特有的骑楼建筑:小公园。这里也是我成长的地方。

在我眼里,这些老建筑更像是一张张会呼吸的面孔,在诉说着无声但充满力量的故事。

作品阐释:

大家愿意看向生活中的美好,例如在分国王派的时候:它含着小瓷偶在正餐后被端上餐桌,说是吃到这独一牙带瓷偶的派的人,不仅能成为一日国王,指认自己的皇后,还能幸运一整年。在这个时刻,所有的可能性都包裹着杏仁奶油,浓重可爱。

《她言》是以女性作家文本作为研究对象进行绘制的一组油画作品,涉及伍尔夫、托卡尔丘克、埃尔诺、张爱玲等共计18位女性作家。

《盗仙草》         240×150cm         布面油画

作品阐释:

灵感取自《白蛇传》中的经典片段“盗仙草”里刚刚制伏灵鹿取得仙草又被仙鹤袭击的瞬间。故事本身充满传奇,歌颂爱情与自由,我所在意的却是白蛇青蛇在生命中遇到的苦难和她们的应对。踏踏实实修炼、变成人后好好过日子,但等待她们的却是世界的各种残忍。她们不断去应对和解决,但麻烦还是会接踵而至。当然,她们的到来对于鹿童子鹤童子也算是飞来横祸了。“人最可贵之处在于看清生活的本质后依然热爱生活”,我们在面对人生的无妄之灾时,也能像白蛇青蛇一样充满智慧和耐心去应对吗?

画面叙述一则架空的故事,旅者们经过蛛网丛生的森林时,选择无视森林的警告,毅然决然在脸上抹上图腾不顾危险去解救其它的生物......

作品阐释:

作品《流动》,以童年经历为原型,通过深度挖掘自我,将个人体验融入油画本体语言中,摆脱画面的强叙事感以及即时感。通过重组破坏,扭曲等方式将有关“时间”话题的思考融入创作中,寻找一种平衡。

傅星尧

《迎春花开了》         200×200cm         布面油画

作品阐释:

毕业创作灵感来自于去年年末对疫情的全面放开,从19年到23年,漫长的抗疫时代终于画上了句号,这张作品也表达了我本人对未来的一些期许。

作品的背景我选择了一处干草丛生的小山坡,这也是我经常去遛弯的地方,丛生的干草与零散的落叶象征了疫情时代的萧瑟,而左下角星星点点的迎春花代表了温暖春天的到来,背景的天空选择了乌云散去的状态,也算是对未来的一种期盼。

主体人物我选择了黑色的衣服,这样可以让白色的口罩凸显出来,左边象征希望的孩子选择了鲜艳的红色衣服,后边的父亲指向地面的树叶,从观者的角度看上去可以向口罩引导,算是对观众的一个提示

后面望向乌云的人是对过去三年的回望,形象选择的是我本人。

作品阐释:

徐浩洋的创作素材通常来源于电影静帧、摇滚乐和卡通漫画,他着迷于各类流行文化意象的解构重塑,并注入对人、事、物间游离关系的默想,呈现一幅基于现实而抽离现实的光怪景象。这种静态的凝练随着作品被观看的过程逐渐流动显现,画面中亦真亦幻的元素衍生出一种隐忍的张力:所触及的,总是人意识中那幽暗却柔软的内里。

作品阐释:

拖着放不下的过去,我们在通往未来的道路上,翻看预言尝试寻找关于当下的线索。

是一首诗、是一帧画面、是一个行动,预言中的是现在被预知的我。

预言经常以诗歌的形式展现,以这样一种开放而沉默的方式,接纳多种诠释与姿态,承接多元的想像。

绘画亦是如此,它被动又张扬,无法被简化。绘画也像预言,它能包容所有想像、所有可能。人类用诗歌、绘画为载体,将预言以线索的方式藏入其中,作为生活的另一种解释,解释你的苦难、解释充满希望的未来,解释让人类感到释怀。

作品阐释:

“也有他的道理”通常是我们尝试接受、说服自己的话语,画中人物漫无目的无所事事,在日常的无聊中被迫接受四面八方传递过来的信息。我的创作从日常出发,试图赋予在日常生活中出现的人或景物一种永恒的雕塑感,刻意营造一种模糊的叙事性,让日常脱离日常。

刘佳琪

《褪色系列》         尺寸不等        布面油画

作品阐释:

在褪色系列中,我以个人经历为参考,表达亲密关系的“变质”。我主要选取了三个点作为创作 的素材:首先大部分是结婚时的家庭相片。婚礼这个仪式证实了一段美好的感情,也是两个人关系 发展中新的递进阶段。然后是一些具有特殊意义的物品,例如情书、戒指、玫瑰花等。这些恋人间 相互赠予的物品,也是一段感情的⻅证物,是情感:爱,具像化的体现,对于两个相爱的人来说, 这些“记录者”是珍贵的纪念品。最后则是一些在感受上能够引起共鸣的场景。

这些褪了色的图像背后不仅仅说明物质本色随时间发生了改变、承载着已经模糊了的记忆,也 暗示着人物之间的关系发生了“变质”。我试图将过去与当下连接起来,也想试图去唤醒这些褪了色的 记忆与某些消逝的情感。

作品阐释:

我的少女生活系列第一部分以肖像和静物画的形式,表达对艺术家自我身份的探索。试图传达人物内心情感,运用放松的表情以及姿势来表达现代少女的生活态度,在画面中出现在人物头上的卡通发带,都是我日常生活的真实写照。
第二部分主题是泰拳运动,以打泰拳的局部,来表达打泰拳时的瞬间爆发力,泰拳也是我生活中重要的一部分,来体现我对生活的观察与思考。

《心有冥契》         190×190cm         综合材料 

作品阐释:

“X”代表无限与未知,空间中的万物皆由最基本元素构成:收缩、扩张、复制、消解,如混沌之初,又可生出万物。心中所想如冥中之契,是一种默契,一种暗向投合。抽象画面表达无限与未知概念,表现渗透、层叠的空间意识。

《杜加尔女神节》         150×110cm         布面油画 

作品阐释:

杜尔迦节是印度教传统中最重要、最著名的节日。世界各地的印度教和孟加拉社区都在庆祝这一节日。这个节日是为了庆祝母女神杜尔迦战胜恶魔“马赫沙修罗”。这个节日代表着“力量”,也意味着正义战胜邪恶。这一庆祝活动的重要性如此之高,以至于它被提名为联合国教科文组织2021年世界遗产名录。

CAFA Art Museum Publication Authorization Agreement

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.

CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer

Article I

This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.

Article II

Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.

Article III

Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.

Article IV

Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.

Article V

During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.

CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer

Article I

This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.

Article II

Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.

Article III

Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.

Article IV

Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.

Article V

During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
