When The Trend Of Hanfu Blows Into The Central Academy Of Fine Arts | Experience "Spring River, Flowers And Moon" During The Night Tour Of CAFAM On March 8th8

In March, Beijing sees the warm breeze sweeping across the frost-covered land. The seemingly dormant shell of CAFAM, much like a tortoise shell, gradually breaks free from the constraints of winter, and new greenery clusters together. In the new year, with new exhibitions on board, it sets sail slowly. What kind of scene will it be when the fluttering sleeves of Hanfu encounter art treasures that span thousands of years, and when the brushstrokes and ink paintings of the century-old Central Academy of Fine Arts collide with the inspiration of modern aesthetics? On International Women's Day, CAFA Art Museum invites you to a limited-time art carnival!

On the evening of March 8th, CAFAM will launch the night tour activity titled "Spring Rivers, Flowers and the Moon". It will offer a strong sense of spring to female audiences who have been making efforts in their work, studies and families. It is also for the men who love life.

The robe and silk dress of the imperial concubine style,
In the night, accompanied by spring splendor, we roam in the art garden.
The melodious strings wind around the fragrant fields,
Transferring and imitating, depicting the flowing of the heart.

Transmission and Imitation: Exhibition of Chinese Painting Copying Teaching Works in the Central Academy of Fine Arts

2025.1.21-2025.4.16

Exhibition Hall on the Third Floor, CAFAM

More than 300 works are on display, including copied works, sketches for teaching students, and works transformed from copying to creative works in the Chinese painting copying teaching of the Central Academy of Fine Arts over the past century. An attempt is made to explore the academic value of the ancient method of "transmission and imitation" in the teaching of Chinese painting in contemporary higher art academies in today's culturally diverse world. When we discuss Chinese painting today and even grasp the overall issues of Chinese art on a macro level, we are not only faced with the problem of "new" and "old", but also with how to effectively unify the two aspects of its self-discipline and external expansion through the research, excavation, and re-recognition of its internal structure.
