“广角°青年实验项目空间”于2022年初启动首期,秉承推动中央美术学院青年教师在策展与创作方面多维探索的理念,使美术馆三层C展厅的独立空间,成为青年教师创作研展、展览策划的一块实验田。

“广角°青年实验项目空间”第四期第四个展览“无字经变”将于9月16日在中央美术学院美术馆三层C展厅开展。本次展览为王希民、张汉普、吕明岳三位艺术家的联展。展览由中央美术学院副院长吕品晶、中央美术学院壁画系主任唐晖担任学术主持,中央美术学院张倩媛博士担任策展人。展览开幕式将于2026年9月16日下午15:00在中央美术学院美术馆三层C展厅开幕。
“无字经变”这四个字,本身就包含了一个悖论:既然“无字”,何以称“经”?既然没有经文,那“经变”又从何谈起?
“经”这个字最早来自织物,是“经纬”中纵向、贯穿始终的线。后来,人们把那些能够穿越时间、不断被阅读和解释的作品称为“经”。诗经、佛经、圣经之所以都能称“经”,正因为人们相信,其中有某种连接过去与现在、个体与世界的恒久内容。“经变”则是一种为俗众释经的图像传统:把经文中的故事和义理转化为可见的形象。就实际效果而言,图像并非文字的附属,面对抽象、复杂或难以言说的内容,它同样可以成为理解的入口。敦煌壁画中的经变画,便是最典型的例子。
那么,“无字经”呢?我这里借《西游记》的说法,指那些隐藏在各种文本背后、又不局限于某一种文字的共同经验。荷马史诗《奥德赛》讲奥德修斯历经艰险、最终归航。两千多年后,乔伊斯以奥德修斯的拉丁名“尤利西斯”为题,把这段“漂泊与回归”的故事放进现代都柏林的一天。科埃略《牧羊少年的奇幻之旅》写远行寻宝后的回归,黑塞《悉达多》则写路途中向内的觉悟。它们的叙事框架都与《西游记》相近:出发、试炼、求取、归来。它们语言和背景不同,背后却仿佛有一根共同的“经线”:人离开熟悉之地,面对未知,承受考验,并在回归时重新认识自己和世界。这根说不尽、写不完,却反复出现的线,便是“无字经”。
回到《西游记》,唐僧师徒最初从灵山取回的,恰恰是无字经书。后来,经卷又在通天河边被水浸湿、粘连、残损。悟空说,天地本就不全,经文有缺,反倒应了不全之理。这个细节,像把问题轻轻推到我们面前:西天取经的价值,究竟在最终得到的那卷经书,还是在抵达它之前所走过的路?
这个关于“答案”与“道路”的问题,在今天并没有过时,反而愈发的重要。现实越复杂,人越容易感到无力,也越倾向于从现成的解释、仪式和预言中寻找确定感。正因如此,展览才重新演绎这个母题,借“变”让过程和行动的意义重新显现。顺着这个思路,“无字经变”以图像为方法,分三个部分逐层展开:从自然的生灭与力量,进入人间的劳动、欲望与困境,再触及科技对生命与信念的重新塑造。展厅空间与其中的作品,试图让被概念遮蔽的经验重新变得可见。
在这个展览里,“无字经”意味着尚未被任何一种文字完全占有的经验。也正因如此,我们想再往前一步:当现成答案不足以承担真实生活时,我们还能怎样理解自己的处境?

王希民
1992年生于山西省右玉县,工作生活于北京。2019年任教于中央美术学院壁画系。他的创作主要表现生命的本能欲求,欲求主要源自基础的生存和繁衍,而动物性在人的身上随着欲望的不断扩张而异化。他的壁画的材料技法带有一种沧桑感,绘画语言本身带有的摩擦力会净化掉一部分初始的冲动,让整体表达更加理性,进而刻画人类似于困兽的通感,又保有生命之美善。壁画“残片”模糊了时间,同时给予了想象延展的空间,加以借喻的方法,探讨永恒的人性。

张汉普
中央美术学院壁画系教师,从事当代艺术创作及公共空间的壁画创作,现居住工作于北京。他的创作一般表现两个主题:一个是描绘如有神迹的情绪风景,一个是聚焦当代个体与群体的生活片段。不管是风景还是人物群像,他都试图通过画面内容、光影和构图来表达某种当下的、集体性的情绪和心理状态。

吕明岳
中央美术学院博士。本科毕业于中央美术学院雕塑系研习中国传统造型,研究生阶段转向当代艺术研究。他早期以传统材料如陶瓷、大漆、金石作为创作的主要媒介,致力于通过具象形态表达造型当中所蕴含的气韵与情绪。作品中大多带有作者对传统文化的发展、传承以及与当代性相结合的思考。近年来对新材料领域的兴趣促使他将自己固有的美学理解融入到对时代性问题的讨论当中,基于新材料与传统材料的语言共性和关系性进行艺术创作,以拓展科技与艺术融合的边界并激发更多的可能性。

策展人、中央美术学院博士。主要研究双年展、城市文化、城市老旧工业/手工业、科技及人工智能艺术策展等方向。曾策划/联合策划展览“骑风的艾可:澳门国际儿童艺术家”(澳门艺术博物馆、2026)、“充电指南”(上海明当代美术馆,2025)、“宇宙蛋:人工智能通识课成果展”(天津棉三艺术街区,2024)、“年轮”(北京树美术馆,2024)、“新青年实验艺术双年展2024——来临中的共同体”(景德镇陶溪川美术馆,2024)等展览。

CAFA Art Museum Publication Authorization Agreement
I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.
CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer
Article I
This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.
Article II
Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.
Article III
Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.
Article IV
Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.
Article V
During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
