3月13日中午11点,瓦尔达女士应宁瀛老师的邀请,亲自为城市设计学院电影系的同学导览。她从一进美术馆的大门就可以望见的装置作品《中国红门》为起点,带领大家走入1957年的回忆之门,开始了她的讲述。“这个装置是我为此次展览而特别制作的。游戏用的积木,首先开启了我对这个中国红门的想象,至于屋顶的建造时,我用了晾衣服所用的木夹子。就这样,我先制作出了一个小的模型,然后再根据美术馆的空间,将其放大。”接着,她眼中闪烁着灵动的光芒,并指向一幅作品,说:“大家看这幅照片,挑担子的既有年幼的孩子,又有年迈的老人,他们挑着的担子似乎很沉重,我不禁被他们的这种旺盛的精力所感染,想将这一切定格成为永恒。”她又带领大家到了另一幅照片前,指着照片中正在表演杂技的红衣小女孩,瓦尔达微笑着,眼中闪过一丝狡黠。“这幅照片应该是在某地的杂技团拍摄的,大家看这个小女孩的杂技动作,你们中有人可以做这样的动作吗?”有一位同学马上举手示意。瓦尔达瞪大了充满好奇的双眼,边笑边做了一个邀请的手势“来吧,请给我们表演一下吧。”顿时,同学们笑作一团。瓦尔达说,《中国红门》上的六张照片,是她特别在数以百计的作品中精挑细选的。她希望每一位走入美术馆的人,都可以通过这道“历史之门”,与她一起以照片为窗,凝视时间与记忆。
带大家走过中国红门,瓦尔达停下来指着美术馆长廊上壁竉,兴奋的说“请大家望向那里,当我第一次走进这个美术馆,就发现五个壁竉上摆放着代表西方古典艺术的雕像,也许是由于他们的存在,美术馆平添了些许的肃穆和凝重之气,少了点儿轻松和童趣氛围。于是,我向王馆长提出了我的想法,并在他与布展团队的帮助下,将原本白色的墙壁变成粉红色。找来了龙头.大头娃娃等带有中国元素的材料,做装置作品。大家看这件中国龙头希腊神像身的作品是不是很有趣!为什么选择龙呢?因为属龙的我在龙年来到了中国,我要给美术馆里增添一条龙。其次,龙也是我喜欢的形象,它来源于想象,是中国人智慧的凝结。” 紧接着,她又为学生们讲述了“叼着骨头的马”等装置作品。她如向日葵般微笑着,说:“我觉得我是幸运的,甚至有时我觉得自己是被宠爱的,有很多的人帮助我实现我脑中迸发的艺术狂想。”从话语中我们可以感受到她对中国的情感是那样的炙热。这一件件作品,是思想与文化碰撞的火花,向大家展示出瓦尔达那不曾被岁月打败的青春。
同学们跟随瓦尔达穿过记忆的门,艺术狂想的长廊,经过电影海报、自画像… …瓦尔达像个小女孩一样,向大家展示着她宝物盒里的每一件宝贝。“现在我们一同离开城市,步入海滨吧。”她带领大家来到了装置作品《海边》旁,然后有请大家同她一起坐在椅子上,详细的解释了这件装置作品的三部分——上方是海的照片,她请大家想象一下此刻风卷着海浪腾起的景象;其下是海浪冲刷的影像,不仅看得到海浪的运动,而且听得到浪花拍岸的声音;地面上是真实的沙子。这三部分,分别代表着想象、电影、现实。她将这一切交融在一起,进行了一次有关虚幻与现实的探讨。她也想用这件作品做一个有关于时间与空间实验,她举例说:“就好比大家闲暇时,可能会在海滩上消磨午后的闲暇时光,但是,你会在这件装置作品前坐多久呢?几分钟?还是匆忙一瞥就离开了。”可以感受到,瓦尔达很在意“人的感觉”,她也为每一个走近她作品的观众,制造了一个可以“停留的时间”,同时,也为大家创造了自由选择的机会。
《乒乓球、塑料拖鞋和露营营地》、《茨古古的墓地》… …她讲述着这些作品,分享着她的爱与回忆。在名为《乌托邦之薯》的作品前她坐下来,在讲解中大家得知,这件装置的大型的三折屏幕下方摆放着百公斤的真土豆。此时,在嗅觉上,可以闻到土豆的香气;在视觉上,可以看到心形土豆那皱老的表皮上萌生出新芽。时而又可见瓦尔达的脸出现在土豆堆中,仿佛她也化身成了可爱的土豆;听觉上,有屏幕中心的土豆发出的呼吸声,那是瓦尔达在《拾穗者与我》中捡拾的心形土豆。在感官的多重刺激影响下,观者时而会产生“被催眠”的感觉。仿佛也成了这个乌托邦中的一个土豆,平实的躯壳即使老去,也要萌生新芽,即使被压抑也要奋力的呼吸,也要在彼此间传递着低沉的申诉。
在整场的导览过程中,她详细的为学生们讲解了几乎每一件作品。这些作品不仅浸润着鲜明的瓦尔达风格,而且可以映射出作为世界中渺小个体的我们。这是一次视觉艺术的教育,通过瓦尔达的导览,同学们不仅了解了她观看事物的角度(ways of seeing)和表达方式(ways of telling)。瓦尔达希望通过这些作品以及她的讲述,可以激励每一个人,无论是日常的生活还是艺术的创作,都如她一样永葆青春的热情。

CAFA Art Museum Publication Authorization Agreement
I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.
CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer
Article I
This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.
Article II
Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.
Article III
Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.
Article IV
Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.
Article V
During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
